In 2013, I joined a team of professionals as a therapist at Palmetto Health Day Treatment, a group-oriented program working with adults with various mental health issues. Our team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, RN's, social workers, professional counselors, as well as adjunct therapists. In that same year I also opened my private practice where I work two days/week.

As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I offer children, families, and adults a safe and accepting environment to explore and gain a better understanding of the issues most affecting their lives. Rather than solely focusing on behaviors or symptoms, I work with individuals and families on gaining insight and understanding into the various underlying causes of their thoughts, feelings, and actions. It is only then that meaningful and long-lasting change is possible.
As an art therapist I integrate the fields of human development and visual art with models of counseling and psychotherapy to provide art therapy services to clients of all ages and abilities. I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach that draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet each individuals need.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Counselor, and Registered Yoga Teacher. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Theater, Speech, and Dance, and my Masters in Social Work; both from The University of South Carolina. My counseling work is further informed by my experience as a professional ballet dancer, father, and person in long- term recovery.
I am advanced practice nurse who specializes in adult psychotherapy. I am certified by medicare and take primarily medicare patients, but I will work on a sliding scale.I treat all dx that would affect adults such as grief, anxiety, depression and marital issues or family issues.
