Kervin Searles, LPC, is a compassionate and purpose-driven mental health professional dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and communities through meaningful conversation and authentic connection. As the founder of Gravity Counseling Group, Kervin has created a practice centered on fostering personal growth, emotional balance, and cultural awareness. The practice is built on the belief that healing happens through understanding—when clients and clinicians alike are grounded in open, honest dialogue that allows them to find strength in their experiences.
In addition to providing therapy, Gravity Counseling Group serves as a teaching and developmental practice designed to help new clinicians and interns strengthen their clinical identity. Under Kervin’s guidance, emerging counselors are encouraged to explore and refine their theoretical orientation, therapeutic principles, and preferred populations, allowing them to cultivate confidence and competence as they grow into their professional roles. This training environment reflects Kervin’s deep commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and lifelong learning within the mental health field.
Kervin’s own clinical approach is most closely aligned with Adlerian therapy, emphasizing lifestyle, goals, and social interest. However, he also integrates techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their individual needs. His counseling philosophy rests on helping people build insight, embrace resilience, and take intentional steps toward change.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor Candidate, Kervin is eager to expand his role as a mentor and leader, investing in the next generation of clinicians who will continue the work of healing and advocacy. Through Gravity Counseling Group, he seeks not only to serve clients but also to cultivate a community of thoughtful, skilled, and compassionate mental health professionals.
