Individual Counseling/ Coaching
Individual sessions consist of the client and the counselor/coach.
Together they use the 45-50 minute session to work together toward personal goals of health and wellness. When working with children I will ask the parent or guardian to come to the first 5-10 minutes for a check in. When working with teen I usually like to meet with teen and parents at the first session and then as needed.
Relationship Coaching
Relationship Coaching involves a client and/or another person ( parent, sibling, partner, spouse) to attend and all meet with the coach. Having a Relationship Coach is a good practice for those who are anticipating a future together in marriage. This type of coaching is great for couples that are hitting some bumps along the way or just want to learn to be closer and to communicate more effectively with each other.
Relationship Coaching can be helpful if a family is having problems getting along. It can also be used if one family member has a problem, and family relationships may be contributing to or maintaining the problem.
Parent Coaching
Parenting can be a challenging task at each developmental stage in a child's life. This branch of therapy focuses on techniques parents can use to provide structure, boundaries and constructive discipline to help reduce the stress and chaos in their household. It empowers parents to tackle and resolve parent/child conflict as well as assist with sibling relationships.
Health and Wellness Coaching
This branch of counseling is viewed as supportive and educational, to help clients work towards their personal health goals. This branch of counseling/coaching can help you set and implement strategies to achieve overall personal heath and wellness. Psycho education and cognitive behavior are techniques commonly used.
Professional Consulting
Meeting with a Coach/Counselor on a situational basis, if you feel stuck, have a difficult decision to make or need an objective, non judgmental professional to help you overcome a particular situation. Usually achieved in one to three sessions.
